This site enables all you armchair expeditioners out there to be a part of the Treading the Forgotten Sky trekking expedition. It's an incredible thing that young Theresa is doing, and she hopes to inspire people out there to believe in themselves, and to go after what they dream of doing. The aim of the expedition is to raise $10,000 - which will be donated to the Tebellong Hospital to help them cope with the enormous number of HIV/AIDS patients that come through their doors. Can you imagine living in a country where 1 in 4 people have HIV/AIDS? Treading the Forgotten Sky is not only about a young woman`s passion for adventure, but her desire to show people that one person can really make a difference. If you feel inspired, then please donate what you can to the cause.
We look forward to having you on board for this incredible journey!!
MORE ON THE EXPEDITION: In mid-July, 28-year-old Theresa Adams will set off on a 3 month, 800 km trek through the remote mountain kingdom of Lesotho, in an effort to raise money for the HIV/AIDS ward of an isolated African Hospital.

Theresa’s solo trek (with a packhorse) will take her through some of the most rugged, isolated and physically- challenging landscapes on the planet. Lesotho boasts more mountain peaks per square kilometre than any other country in Africa, and is the only country in the world that lies entirely above 1400m.
Theresa chose to raise money for the HIV/AIDS cause in Lesotho as it is believed to have one of the highest infection rates in the world, with an estimated 29 percent of people aged 15-49 being HIV positive.
Having spent much of her childhood in Lesotho, Theresa is also compelled by the opportunity to contribute what she can to help a community she once called home. Therefore, all money raised will be donated the isolated Tebellong Hospital in eastern Lesotho, where she lived for 3 years, for basic medical supplies and equipment.
To the best of our knowledge, an expedition of this calibre has never before been attempted... and we're excited about having you along for the ride!
