Although all of the gear needed has not been purchase yet, the following list represents gear which will be taken on the expedition: We are hoping to receive sponsorship for a portion of the equipment and clothing. CLOTHING: For warmth Down jacket Woollen jumper (lightweight) Basotho blanket (the traditional warmth garment worn in Lesotho) Woollen mid-layer Woollen thermal long sleeve top Woollen thermal leggings Woollen beanie Fleece pants Woollen balaclava Thick woollen socks Woollen mittens (I find mittens keep my fingers warmer than in gloves that separate your fingers) FOR WALKING: leggings Light quick dry shorts Rain pants Gore-Tex Jacket Active sleeveless shirt Long sleeve active shirt 4× Woollen hiking socks Synthetic underwear × 4 (dry faster) Sunglasses (for snow glare as well as clear skies) Other Bathers (not too revealing) Waterproof mittens Wide-brim hat CAMPING GEAR: 2-person, 4-season tent (to provide enough room for me and the gear) Groundsheet (will hopefully double as a rain cover for the packsaddle bags) 20L dry sack multi-fuel stove (works with shellite and kerosene) and fuel bottle 2ltr titanium pot and lid full length self-inflating mattress Winter down sleeping bag silk inner sheet head-torch first aid kit Gastro kit (for those unpleasant realities of travelling in developing countries) Syringe and needle kit (sterile pack to take with me for any treatment I may need) Satellite phone???
